Born in Eugene, OR, Dave spent his formative years in Amherst, MA, eventually attending Oberlin College. After a summer cooking beneath Wyoming's Tetons, teaching in the Dakota Black Hills, learning Spanish in Guatemala, and conducting treks across Idaho, Dave finally found the Cambridge folk scene.
